Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian are thrilled to announce that the award-winning, chart-topping musical The Bodyguard will be coming to the Winter Gardens Blackpool from October 1st to October 4th, 2025.
In this romantic thriller, former Secret Service agent-turned-bodyguard Frank Farmer is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an anonymous stalker. Both expect to take control of the situation, but neither anticipates falling in love. The Bodyguard features a captivating array of iconic songs, including "Queen of the Night," "So Emotional," "One Moment in Time," "Saving All My Love," "Run to You," "I Have Nothing," "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," and the timeless hit "I Will Always Love You."
Based on the Oscar-nominated 1992 Warner Bros. film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard is directed by Thea Sharrock with a book by Academy Award-winning Alex Dinelaris. After its world premiere at London’s Adelphi Theatre in the West End, the show earned four Olivier Award nominations. A highly successful 18-month UK and Ireland tour followed, before returning to the West End at the Dominion Theatre and embarking on two further sell-out tours in 2018/19 and 2023.
To date, The Bodyguard has been seen by over 3.9 million people across 15 countries and 45 US cities, including performances in the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Australia, Spain, France, the US, Austria, and Japan.
